The Canadian Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education (CJSMTE) is administered by the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and was previously published by Taylor and Francis. Now in its eighteenth year of publication the journal explores STEM research in both English and French from a Canadian and international perspective. Starting in May 2018 the journal will be published by Springer Nature.

In four issues per year, CJSMTE publishes original articles including research investigations using experimental, qualitative, ethnographic, historical, philosophical, or case study approaches. Researchers can also submit critical reviews of the literature, policy perspectives and position papers to the journal.

An outstanding international editorial board is led by Professor John Wallace of the University of Toronto as Editor-in-Chief. These experts ensure that this subscription journal with open access options provides a broad spectrum of scholarly contributions across wide-ranging disciplines to researchers in the STEM education community.

“CJSMTE has become one of the leading international voices in the important field of STEM education research. In the future, the editorial team will continue with its policy of seeking a diversity of contributions, and we very much look forward to collaborating with Springer on this endeavor,” said John Wallace.

Melissa James, senior publishing editor of educational journals at Springer, said: “This new collaboration will allow Springer to work together with OISE to streamline publication processes for the journal and disseminate peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of science, mathematics, and technology education to a Canadian and international audience.”
